This is where I write down stuff I don’t want to forget, either because it’s cool or because I’m all profound and shit like that. I hereby promise not to use the following words to refer to my blog: ramblings, musing, pondering, random, confessions, or “just another” anything. I hate that shit.

If you want to know why this dogpile is called The Telnet Mars, look here. Also, my regular Web site is at snerk.net, in case anyone cares.

Here is a funny thing I wrote about myself a while back, slightly updated for the reality of my life these days.  I am so clever!

Joey was born of poor but Italian parents (STR!) some time in the 20th century. She enjoys torturing small servers, singing fucked-up music with lesbians, and solving the world’s problems by raising four future anti-government subversives. She lives in her head a great deal of the time and insists upon talking about herself in the third person.   She is not quite right according to her girlfriend, who should know. Astonishingly, this does not prevent her from tricking her boss into forking over a paycheck every month for the time she spends torturing aforementioned small servers.

When Joey grows up, she wants to be a fabulous gay man, just like Margaret Cho.

She spends far too much time talking to her imaginary friends.
